On the 3rd of August, the Dream Team with its usual members together with the novices: Alexander Dubkovsky, Deputy Minister of Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus; Natalya Ryzhenkova, the wife of Maxim Ryzhenkov; Arunas Untanas, Development Manager of Modus Group; and Yevgeny Perlin, a showman and TV presenter, gathered in our complex for the third training session for preparation for Minsk Half Marathon - 2016. This time, along with the permanent coach Olga Rulevich, the training was provided by Olga Mazurenok, a Master of Sports of International Level, the record-holder of the country in Marathon race, as well as a representative of Belarus at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro 2016.
During the distance, training elements of Kenyan marathon runners were recommended to the members of the team. Traditional green energy shots from the head chef Vyacheslav Gorbatov helped to manage the training.
After hard work, the showman and TV presenter Yevgeny Perlin, who completed his first training session, shared his impressions:
"Awful, it was a hell of a workout, it’s been exactly one year since the last time I ran, since the time of the last half-marathon. I do go swimming, I mentioned that before, but running is definitely not my cup of tea. But during the last half marathon I gave a promise to myself that no matter what, I will participate, even more so since I missed the first one, I would need to partake in the second one, so that I would have something to tell my kids and grandkids. That I, in fact, went running every year. The team is amazing, it is indeed a Dream team, in a sense that people really dream to run with dignity and for somebody they will become an example and a motivator. After all, if important businessmen and officials got round to doing it, why can’t I do the same? Anyhow, I would really want to become such an example for someone!”
The presentation of field-and-track Olympic outfits made an impression. Falcon Club became the first to witness the outfits demonstrated by Belarusian Olympic athletes in which they will represent our country at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
